that started from two hobbies that got out-a-hand! They are so different
yet go together so well. From an early age, i always had a love and
fascination for any living creature. As i got older i developed a strong
interest in birds and its been with me over the years. I've been breeding
exotic birds now ,off and on for over the last 25 years and have kept over
30 species at different times. I presently specialize in hookbills with a few
odd balls in the aviary( i dont think ive ever met a bird i didn"t like, or
want for that matter!) I've been breeding some species for years and
some relatively new ones as well. You'll find a good variety in these
pages,not all will be available at all times and most will be handfed
unless otherwise stated. We are presently located on nearly 3 acres in
lovely southeast central Alabama near the GA/AL border. As well as the
birds, we also specialize in unusual cold hardy subtropical plants for
growing outdoors in our area. Some of these include
citrus,gingers,brugmansias(angel trumpets) ,palms, bananas, and many
more. These will be covered in a separate section on plants.
